Sunday we discovered a black widow spider in our spare battery pack. Using a very long pair of pliers and a mallet we exterminated the problem from a safe distance. Ironically we didn’t have any problems with bugs on our last trip to Australia, home of some of the most deadly critters in the world.

Lurking in the Dark: We found a black widow lurking in the electronics of the spare battery.

Danger: We eventually caught the spider on the high voltage line in the spare battery pack.
